kingshillbilly Posted February 13, 2012 Report post Posted February 13, 2012 I am working with a fresh install of RC2. After getting through to setting up Endpoint, the definition updates will not download. I have tried to force them to download, and it kicks up with this: Package: Success: The software updates were placed in the existing package: • Endpoint Protection Definition Updates Software updates downloaded from the internet Error: Definition Update for Microsoft Endpoint Protection - KB2461484 (Definition 1.119.1882.0) Errors There was an error downloading the software update. kingshillbilly Posted February 14, 2012 Report post Posted February 14, 2012 Update: I have done a good bit of troubleshooting, but I cannot figure this out (Pulling what I have left of my hair out)... I cant get any updates to download into the sccm. I tried uninstalling SUS and reinstalled, just in case that was causing the problem, dumped and redid the software update manager, dunno... Im really in need of some help here if someone has any ideas. Thanks

kingshillbilly Posted February 15, 2012 Report post Posted February 15, 2012 Fixed my problem. We have Websense here (What a piece of crap it is....) For whatever reason that was causing the problem. We created a rule to bypass Websense for that machine and all works well.
