bartb Posted March 8, 2012 Report post Posted March 8, 2012 How to spread the load of software updates with sccm 2012? All our virtual machines are on the same SAN. We want to avoid an overload of the SAN and the network when we apply windows updates to all these machines.

bartb Posted March 8, 2012 Report post Posted March 8, 2012 Is there no possibility to make a (device,task,...) seqeunce to push updates to 10 machines, after 10 min another 10 machines,....? We have 400 servers. The company (an Hospital) is running 24/24 - 7/7. There is no working window that we can use to deploy all updates at the same time. We install updates during the day (manualy) to spread the load. We have 2 hours per month for rebooting all these machines (for this i was thinking to do tests with "Orchestrator"). Peter van der Woude Posted March 8, 2012 Report post Posted March 8, 2012 You can use Maintenance Windows to spread the load... Just keep in mind that by default the count for all the deployments.
