MisterMax Posted March 30, 2012 Report post Posted March 30, 2012 Hi, I have a problem with Sccm Boundaries. If Sccm Client is installed on a server clients of my farm, I see in the console all clients point/link to the primary server. I set the boundaries using ip range for the job and I have 4 servers in different sites, including the primary. where the client is not installed I display the right site code. I can not set boundaries using Ad, because servers under my control are of three different domains. Does anyone know where I can search for the error? Ps: Sorry for my bad English. Jorgen Nilsson Posted March 30, 2012 Report post Posted March 30, 2012 Hi, Are the other site servers also primary site servers or secondary site servers? If they are secondary sites server this is expected as clients can only be members of Primary site servers. Secondary site servers are are used to control traffic flow and roles but clients only report back to Primary sites. regards, Jörgen
MisterMax Posted March 30, 2012 Report post Posted March 30, 2012 Hi Jörgen, I've a situation with a primary server and three secondary server (pointing to the primary) with each a DP. Client Server, now, all pointing at the primary, in fact their Site Code are those of primary server.
Peter van der Woude Posted March 30, 2012 Report post Posted March 30, 2012 Like Jörgen said, it's normal behavior that the clients point to the primairy site. The things that you can control with the boundaries, are the download locations, proxy mp's, etc.
