barnowl005095 Posted April 26, 2012 Report post Posted April 26, 2012 is it possible to activate a MAK in a TS through an authenticating proxy? our scenario is: we have an image of windows 7 with office 10 built in which both deactivate when captured. the image need to be undomained and preactivated. we can't get it to activate via the VAM tool because it isn't domained. mliess Posted May 21, 2012 Report post Posted May 21, 2012 Hi, I havent done this before but I am sure you need a KMS Server for activation. This server needs to talk to Microsoft over the internet. But it is the only server. All Windows 7 machines are activating to the KMS Server instead. http://www.bdts.com.au/tips/49-windows-server/121-setup-kms-for-windows-7-and-office-2010.html There is no other way around as far as I know.
