brycel Posted May 10, 2012 Report post Posted May 10, 2012 Hi all, I have been banging my head against this issue for a few days now and have tried a few different things to get it to work. Basically when I am building and capturing a Windows 7 SP1 x86 image the install updates stage stalls and fails after 30minutes with the error 800705B4 – Timed out waiting for updates refresh complete notification. From the logs it appears it can see the 178 updates available to the collection but it never moves to the install stage. I have tried SMSMP= and changing settings on the updates deployment, etc. but nothing seems to get the task to work. In SCCM 2007 there is a lot of talk about SLP and if in a workgroup (as we are for the build) use HTTP roaming, etc. but nothing seems to point to that issue here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards, BryCel
Iroqouiz Posted June 12, 2012 Report post Posted June 12, 2012 We had that problem also. What solved it was creating two Install Software Updates steps, that ran right after one another. No conditions set in the Options tab, just a normal ISU step.
