brishrpfg Posted May 16, 2012 Report post Posted May 16, 2012 We just installed the SRS last week. Reporting worked for about 30 minutes until someone decided the folder name should be adjusted so when we run reports from the http link, we are clicking on a folder that is understandable. When the name was changed we lost our connection to the datasource. We figured out how to correct that, but are still having issues. When I go in to the console under Monitoring\Reporting\Reports I see "No items found". I was running reports out of there prior to renaming the folder, so it did work. If I go in to the Properties of the Reporting Services Point under "Servers and Site System Roles", I see that the folder name is the old one, but I can't change it as it is greyed out. I also get this error in the Monitoring section of the console: SQL Reporting Services root folder "ConfigMgr_CEN" is not present or not properly configured on the Reporting point server.... The issue we are having is obvious, but the solution is not. Is there a way to change the folder name the Reporting Services Point is looking for, or do we have to remove the RSP and add it back again? Thanks! brishrpfg Posted May 18, 2012 Report post Posted May 18, 2012 We ended up removing the RSP and adding it back. This took care of the issue of the folder name being correct. One thing we were seeing was an error when we accessed the properties of a report. For instance, if we went to the report link in IE, selected the drop-down next to the report name, chose "Manage", and clicked on Processing Options, we saw this: An error occurred within the report server database. This may be due to a connection failure, timeout or low disk condition within the database. (rsReportServerDatabaseError) Get Online Help For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors This was not corrected when we added the RSP back, so we are still stuck a little. We get this error when we click on "Cache refresh options" and "Processing options". If anyone has any thoughts I would love to hear them! Thanks! brishrpfg Posted May 23, 2012 Report post Posted May 23, 2012 We were able to get this error corrected as well. Our database folks adjusted permissions on the SRS reporting database. I am not 100% sure what they adjusted, but it was missed in the set up of the SRS. Now we do not get the errors, and I can set up subscriptions to reports. I did not put that in the last post, but it was one of our symptoms.
