amitpatel08 Posted May 23, 2012 Report post Posted May 23, 2012 I have read somewhere, that the SQL Server name should not have a hypen or underscore, for a successful SCCM 2012 install, is that correct? Also, if true is that the Server name itself or the SQL Server instance name? Appreciate the help.
Eswar Koneti Posted May 23, 2012 Report post Posted May 23, 2012 i dont see any issues with my SQL server name( my sccm server name has hypen(-) ) but if you are working with SQL server management studio to run some quiries, you can use server name enclosed in square bracket. You will not have any issues with respect to SCCM Server (AFAIK) ,you can look at this for more info http://p2p.wrox.com/sql-server-2000/19220-dashes-server-name-cannot-run-sql-cmd.html
