PXE -E32 error

Question

Hi,

I was following your article on WDS and its implementation. I have both WDS and MDT configured on a separate server then DHCP.

Everything has been configured accordingly.

However I am still getting PXE-T01 and PXE-E3B on the client’s F12 option.

I have unchecked do not listen on port 67 and configure option 60…. on the wds server setting

After unchecking DHCP server option 60 i am getting PXE-E32 error.

Could you kindly help please.

Hello,

I am actually trying to make a deployement server working but.

I have been reading this forum for more that 24 hours now. I had Errors while trying to start a workstation on network.

First, no DHCP, so I had correct parameters and now, I have the PXE-T01 too.

I read a lot but everything i tried didn't work

My environement :

I got 2 physical “server” with Windows server 2003 installed.

Zeuzzzz-DC has DC, DHCP, DNS

Zeuzzzz-SRV1 has DC2, Windows deployment, File server.

I am a little bit tired by this issue. I’ve tried all night long and I won’t stop until it will work.

I really need help cause I have no more idea.

Thanks a lot for reading. Thx For Help

Zeuzzzz,

This error can happen when the DNS server service binds to all ports in the Windows Deployment Services port range. You might want to try the workaround listed in this Microsoft Knowledge Base article.

If you do not require a static port range, you would do as the KB page states:

First, navigate to the Registry Editor within Windows Server by clicking on Start, typing “regedit” and then press “enter”.

Next, you will perform the following steps:

· Locate and then click to select the following registry key:

· HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\WDSServer\Parameters

· Right-click UdpPortPolicy, and then click Modify.

· In the Value data box, type 0, and then click OK.

· On the File menu, click Exit to exit Registry Editor.

· Restart Windows Deployment Services.

If you do require a static port range you could try one of the two methods listed in the same Microsoft KB article.

Please keep us posted on your progress.
