harlequinsmad Posted May 29, 2012 Report post Posted May 29, 2012 I have a problem with SCCM client finding 3G/WIFI clients once it is installed on the laptop, SCCM has a large number of errors because it cannot connect to the client using 3G/WIFI. Is there a way to ignore these clients, so that they are only polled when connected in the office? As the 3G/WIFI connection can be really slow sometimes I was thinking that once a month the client was brought into the nearest office and connected via ethernet to the LAN that way SCCM could update the machine/ Any advice/help most graciously accepted. Jorgen Nilsson Posted May 29, 2012 Report post Posted May 29, 2012 Hi, No there is no settings that can be used to control this today. In windows 8 there will be some features in the OS for differentiating 3g/4G networks from the rest. If that will be supported in SCCM 2012 nobody knows yet. The only thing you can do is to mark the VPN network or whatever they are connecting with as a "Slow" network and you could potentially throttle BITS as well but that is per client using GPO or per site using SCCM and not per network so it is no a good solution. regards, Jörgen
