Problem With Distribution Point in SCCM2012

As i wrote in topic title my main problem are packages and distribution point in SCCM 2012.I manage to install sccm 2012 and configure it as best as i knew it...For some time everything was working ok, but now for some reason all my package's are marked with red. When i look the status of those packages it say that some files are missing in every deployed package. I've tried to delete and deploy those packages again,but when i run validation they are red again, with same error. Also i tried to remove distribution point role, and add it again...I've done everything i could remember but problem remains. There are two partition on virtual machine. Distribution point is set as default on second partition(d). Site is configured as primary.

One more thing. All of the packages that i'm using are now with error except bootimagex64 which i never used.

What does the distmgr.log file on the server say?

Sorry for replying so late,but somehow everything was fix by itself.Everything worked just fine for a month but now i have the same problem.Some of the packages cannot pass validation.When i redistribute them they apper as ok.But when i run validation again they are red again....My second partition is nearly full so i supose sccm started creating packages on c drive..I dont know if thets somehow related to the problem i have....There is no errors in distmgr.log.Maybe i just have to wait so sccm can proces all packages?I'm totaly stuck here...

 

I can se from smsdpmon.log that sccm canot find or copy/transport some files...

In distmgr.log i only have on error regarding package that needs to be sent to my secondary site,but i dont think thats the reason...

After some time I figured out the problem. As I sad previously I suspected that problem was that DP started using C partition for storing packages.

For some reason, and I still don't know why, when DP start's to use some other partition other than first used partition this problem with hash mismatch/missed files occurs and you cannot use any of those packages.

I manage to fix it by preventing DP to store packages on my C drive.

In order to do this you have to create blank txt file called NO_SMS_ON_DRIVE.SMS on the root of the drive on witch you don't want any packages created. After that you have to delete those faulty packages and redeploy them. After redeploying them, you have to select update distribution point option on every of those packages, and only after that they are OK.

I don't know if this is something that has to do with my configuration or it's just a bug which has to be resolved by Microsoft in the future, but the important thing is that there is a solution for now.

I have an identical error, but had the NO_SMS_ON_DRIVE.SMS before I created the content. It appears that my content is splitting between the two drives.

Should I remove the DP, delete the SCCMContentLib/SMSSIG/SMSPKG folders manually, and recreate the DP?

Hi,

 

I have different DP for each site like seprate for Singapore and US.

Created different boundary groups for corrosponding sites that includes there IP Subnet.

But now the problem come into the picture, when I try to deploy image at my Singapore site , it is downloading the image content from US DP. Checked the DNS entries , all fine , checked collection properties it is pointing to correct Task sequence.

Please help me with this if any one has some idea or resolution.

Did you add a reference to the Content Location (DP) in the Distribution Point Group?
