PXE Problems with WDS

Recommended Posts

Here's my current setup:

SCCM 2012 Primary Site Server (PXE works fine from there, does everything correct, can image just fine)

SCCM 2012 Secondary Server (PXE Won't work correctly, it boots but then get the dreaded 98 error.. )

I've matched everything up on the secondary to the primary which I know works.. but still not working - here's what I get in the SMSPXE.LOG:

I'm also getting errors in my management point site status log saying once about every 6 hours:

Severity	Type	Site code	Date / Time	System	Component	Message ID	Description
Error	Milestone	FDR	6/6/2012 2:37:46 PM	ironhide.hidden.org	SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER	5432	MP could not write out CCM setting to WMI.	Possible cause: MP didn't get installed properly. Solution: Ensure MP setup succeeded; if not, reinstall MP

I've made sure that the ip-helper stuff is in the router and the DHCP settings are set correctly...

The secondary site / MP has been working fine, we can use it just fine for images done by DVD, but the PXE is what we need to take care of 1500 student laptops.

Can anyone help with this? I found in trial that if I also copy the boot image to the \boot\x86\images folder, it boots but gets into WinPE and after configuring network settings, it auto reboots..

Thanks!!
