Hi, I have a 2012 system that I am rolling out. This is the first time our company is using System Center for patching the operating system. We have about 700 computers across 23 different geographical sites.
I am just finishing up testing and I am wondering how other people organizationally deploy updates to their workstations.
Do you send updates to everyone at once? Do you send them to everybody in a geographical location? Do you pick and choose so it is not everyone in one location in case of a patch being bad and bringing down every system.
We do have a short testing procedure on each patch package we deploy where various departments test a deployment first.
What are your thoughts? How do you approach this? I want to get the benefit of your experience.
