adamrushuk Posted June 22, 2012 Report post Posted June 22, 2012 I just found this forum, so I thought I'd try my luck with a problem I'm having. Sorry if there's a more relevant forum for this post, as it's regarding SCE2010, but I'm hoping someone has solved similar before. I have just installed System Center Essentials 2010, and although everything seems to be running generally well, I've noticed the System Center Management Configuration service will not start. I can't find anything useful in the logs. It just says "The System Center Management Configuration service entered the stopped state."...yeah, thanks for that one! Does anybody know how to get the service running again?
adamrushuk Posted June 26, 2012 Report post Posted June 26, 2012 Solved it! I added the LOCAL SERVICE user to the C:\Windows\system32\winevt folder, with Full Control permissions. All works fine now. The solution is in the troubleshooting section here: http://www.virtuallyimpossible.co.uk/configuring-microsoft-system-center-essentials-sce-2010/
