Deploying application from an executable file (no msi available)

Hello,

 

The question is perhaps very tricky but how to you configure SCCM 2012 to install application that are only an executable.

I know the switch command to insall it in silent mode but I don't know how to define it in sccm

 

Shall I create a package then an application ? Only an application ?

 

I've googled but I've only find how to based on msi files

 

How some can open my mind !

Create an application. The only difference with a msi is that with an executable (or custom script) you need to define everything manually, like commandline and detectionrules.

You cant deploy an EXE via the Application model. You need to use the packages model. Even if you try to set it manually it wont let you.

It does, with manual setting up a Deployment Type you can just fill in an executable....
