ronnie_m Posted July 2, 2012 Report post Posted July 2, 2012 Hi Getting the error below when trying to update an image with patches. This is with every patch it tries to install. Everything is on the one box and the computer account is an administrator on the box. Any help would be appreciated as I can't see what is causing this as the rights look correct. Checking if update (7 of 9) with ID 16804950 needs to be applied on the image. 1 content binarie(s) are associated with the update. $$<SMS_OFFLINE_SERVICING_MANAGER><07-02-2012 10:26:14.929-60><thread=3428 (0xD64)> Applicability State = APPLICABLE, Update Binary = \\server\deploy$\Updates\2be69c49-7c56-4f9a-8c10-86a4c94baf8f\windows6.1-kb2709162-x64.cab. $$<SMS_OFFLINE_SERVICING_MANAGER><07-02-2012 10:26:18.896-60><thread=3428 (0xD64)> Applying update with ID 16804950 on image at index 1. $$<SMS_OFFLINE_SERVICING_MANAGER><07-02-2012 10:26:18.896-60><thread=3428 (0xD64)> Failed to install update with error code 5~ $$<SMS_OFFLINE_SERVICING_MANAGER><07-02-2012 10:26:24.183-60><thread=3428 (0xD64)> InstallUpdate returned code 0x80070005~ $$<SMS_OFFLINE_SERVICING_MANAGER><07-02-2012 10:26:24.183-60><thread=3428 (0xD64)> STATMSG: ID=7911 SEV=E LEV=M SOURCE="SMS Server" COMP="SMS_OFFLINE_SERVICING_MANAGER" SYS=server.test.net SITE=TG1 PID=5672 TID=3428 GMTDATE=Mon Jul 02 09:26:24.183 2012 ISTR0="16804950" ISTR1="TG10005C" ISTR2="1" ISTR3="" ISTR4="" ISTR5="" ISTR6="" ISTR7="" ISTR8="" ISTR9="" NUMATTRS=0 $$<SMS_OFFLINE_SERVICING_MANAGER><07-02-2012 10:26:24.185-60><thread=3428 (0xD64)> Failed to install update with ID 16804950 on the image. Peter van der Woude Posted July 2, 2012 Report post Posted July 2, 2012 Error 5 is usually Access Denied... Are you sure you / Site server can reach everything?
ronnie_m Posted July 3, 2012 Report post Posted July 3, 2012 Peter As far as I can see. The computer account for the server is in the local admin group and the folder that is mounted has the admin group on it. It will mount and unmount OK but just not add any patches to the image. Thanks Ronnie
