Deployment Issue

Recommended Posts

I've had SCCM 2012 up and running for at least a month now. Everything was previously working as intended.

The other day I tried to deploy a new set of windows updates and I noticed that everything was loading extreamly slow. I pushed through the slowness, but when I finally tried to deploy my software update group SCCM locked up. The deploy button turns orange, at the very bottom left it says "busy...", and it is completely unresponsive.

I opened up task manager the cpu is running between 50-75% and memory is about 70%.

I've allowed it to continue for hours on end and nothing seems to happen; so I'm pretty once I hit deploy its not coming back.

I'd obviously prefer my machine not to run at 75% cpu and 70% memory, but even at these numbers shouldn't it at least eventually deploy my package?

Is there a log or something I can check to see where this is getting hung up?

SCCM is on a VM so with the resources being close to max I just expanded it. It's now running at around 30% on cpu and memory utilization.

Same problem.

Edit:

After alloting more resources it finally processed my request after about 10-15 min.

That's a crazy delay though...
