dinodod Posted July 12, 2012 Report post Posted July 12, 2012 I have my applications on a NAS and rather than host the applications on a DP, I want to have the ability to run directly from the source folder. The only way around this that I can see is to put a installer script on the DP which then would call the actual application from the NAS server. If I already have my software library on a NAS, why do I need to duplicate the content on my DP's? It would seem to make sense to allow an application to be ran / downloaded directly from a NAS. I understand remote locations are another story but I'm only talking locally in-house.
Peter van der Woude Posted July 12, 2012 Report post Posted July 12, 2012 Nope, you will always need a source location, which see as the input for the server, and a Distribution Point, which you can see as the output for the client.
