Smezzer Posted July 13, 2012 Report post Posted July 13, 2012 Hi I have set up an SCCM 2012 RTM environment all is working really well but I am having a problem installing applications within the Task Sequence. I have a windows 7 image which installs fine and it connects to our domain. The SCCM client installs and the run command line script to rename the computer is also working, but when It gets to the Install Applications no applications are actually installing. below is an extract from the SMSTS.log Waiting for job status notification... Iroqouiz Posted July 18, 2012 Report post Posted July 18, 2012 What do the appenforce.log and appdiscovery.log say on the client?
Smezzer Posted July 18, 2012 Report post Posted July 18, 2012 I have just Checked and I do not have either of these logs on my client
Iroqouiz Posted July 20, 2012 Report post Posted July 20, 2012 Have you made sure the application is allowed to be installed via a TS?
Smezzer Posted July 23, 2012 Report post Posted July 23, 2012 Yes I have ticked the "Allow this application be installed from the Install Application task sequence action instead of deploying it manually"
Iroqouiz Posted July 24, 2012 Report post Posted July 24, 2012 Ok. Haven't had any issues with this myself until just now! Quite annoying. Perhaps someone else has a suggestion as to what to do? Google doesn't give me much.
Iroqouiz Posted July 27, 2012 Report post Posted July 27, 2012 In my case it wasn't my TS that was the problem, it was my virtual machines. Somehow all of them seems to have gotten corrupt. Tried my TS on a physical computer and that worked like a charm. Created a new VM and the TS worked fine on that also. Don't know how your lab is set up, but maybe worth trying your TS on another machine, if you haven't already.
Smezzer Posted August 3, 2012 Report post Posted August 3, 2012 No i have tried it on several laptops now with the same results - I am just about to build a new environment so will see if I have the same problem when I do the TS
