UserInterface Posted July 20, 2012 Report post Posted July 20, 2012 I was asked to run a report to get the MS software that is in use and have been hitting a wall left right and center. First I realised that windows 7 did not show on the report so found a fix pack for that. Then when I had that working I realiesed that asset intelligence sync point status was not connected, so fixed that issue. Now I find that only a third of the systems have the agent installed so are not showing on the report. I then select a few machines and right click and select install sccm client, this does not seem to work most the time I get an error about the MP (i will grab a copy when I get it next) So then I looked at the site status and saw that SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER is Critical. The errors that it is giving are "SMS Site Component Manager failed to reinstall this component on this site system." and "MP Control Manager detected MPsetup has failed to create the CCM_Incoming Virtual Directory." I have no idea what these mean, I have read through heaps of posts but none of it makes any sense to me. Anyone out there got any ideas for me?
