Ded_Innit Posted July 24, 2012 Report post Posted July 24, 2012 OK, I really would like some help here. We recently installed SCCM 2012 on a Windows 2008 R2 Standard server. (It was a pain in the arse to install mind but after following the installation guides on this forum we started to get success). The client has successfully installed on most of the other servers within the same subnet (also Server 2008) and some of the other servers on a different IP range\subnet (also server 2008). The client appears within Windows Updates - just like Step 5 of the configuration guides within this forum. Our desktops are located on a different IP/subnet again and are all running Windows 7. We do have one server on this client network (Vista) and the client even pushed to this server but the clients absolutely will not install on any windows7 machines. I have verified BITS is running on the client. I have included a screen shot of the problems which is typical from any of the windows 7 machines: Can anybody shed any light or provide any help with what I need to do on the client machines in order to get the client to push? If you need any extra information - please ask and I will provide as much info as possible. Thanks!
Peter van der Woude Posted July 24, 2012 Report post Posted July 24, 2012 It's either that BITS is corrupt, or that BITS can't connect to the MP (via HTTP).
Ded_Innit Posted July 25, 2012 Report post Posted July 25, 2012 BITS being corrupt on every one of my Windows 7 machines? Even if this is the cause then what would the solution be for this? And if BITS can't connect to the MP (via HTTP) how come this is bias to the Windows7 machines. All my Servers (Win Svr 2008) and a single Vista machine work OK across the different ranges of network IPs we use. We use a TMG to manage all traffic but I am ruling this out because it just works for everything apart from Win7 Any solutions I can try?
