japijap Posted August 7, 2012 Report post Posted August 7, 2012 My problem: After deploying several apps the desktop icon of them will appear randomly...is there a way to determine the exact position for the desktop icons? I want to create a user friendly, unified desktop surface.
0 Rocket Man Posted August 7, 2012 Report post Posted August 7, 2012 Can you not just specify to align icons to grid and auto-align icons on desktop?
0 japijap Posted August 8, 2012 Report post Posted August 8, 2012 But how to align the icons at a certain postition on the desktop?
0 Prajwal Desai Posted August 8, 2012 Report post Posted August 8, 2012 Right click on desktop, point to view > uncheck "Auto arrange icons".
0 japijap Posted August 9, 2012 Report post Posted August 9, 2012 ? But I want to determine that e.g. MS Word icon is on the left side and the MS Excel icon is on the right side....how to realise that? Do I need a script or whatever? 0 Lucid Posted August 14, 2012 Report post Posted August 14, 2012 Yes, you'd need to find a script to do what you're wanting to do. If all you're after is a standard look and feel, then I'd suggest just setting the desktop to auto arrange as mentioned above...
