webstark Posted August 14, 2012 Report post Posted August 14, 2012 HI all, I'm setting up a CM12 lab at my work in the hope of convincing management and co-workers to stop using some of the seperate systems that do our patching, security, building, etc... Due to compliance reasons, I can't yet join the lab to the corporate domain and these same compliance policies dictate how machines connect to the internet. Up until now, I've had no issues setting it up but have run into a masive brick wall with Software Updates downloading the actual updates where it fails due to a 407 Proxy Auto failure. I know what the issue is and I know to "fix" it but due to compliance, I can't use my lab account on the corporate proxy. Is there anyway in which I can download the updates somewhere else and then copy the across to my lab like you can do with the initial CM12 installation (setupdl.exe -)?. I know it's a pain, but there doesn't seem to be any other way around it.
webstark Posted August 14, 2012 Report post Posted August 14, 2012 Sorted. It turns out you can install the 2011 Updates Publisher, integrate with SCCM and set the proxy account there and SCUP will use that prioxy setting for it's updating.
