PaG Posted August 28, 2012 Report post Posted August 28, 2012 Hello, I have an issue with required applications in Software Center. They will not install automatically, it is stuck on "Past Due - Will be installed" (see attached screenshot). If I press the "Install all required" button the installation starts and finishes fine. I have tried the following suggestions without any luck : * On the Deployment of the application -> Deployment Settings : I have checked ON the "Deploy automatically according to schedule wehter or not a user is logged on" * On the Deployment of the application -> User Experience : Under "When the installation deadline is reached, allow the following activites...." it doesn't make any difference if the Software checkbox is checked or not... * I have not configured any Maintenance Windows I should mention that deployment of required applications used to work just fine. Just one day, it started doing this weird behavior. Any suggestions on how to solve this or point me in the right direction (which logs to look at and so on) are most welcome and appreciated. Thank you Regards Paal G.
Rocket Man Posted August 28, 2012 Report post Posted August 28, 2012 It should not take any longer than an hour for the above to kick off, considering you left the client policy poling at default which is 60 mins.........The reason as to why it is seen as past-due is because the machine in question did not recieve the advertisement before the deadline(it recieved it after the deadline)...once recieved it should kick off automatically within an hour or so approx.. PaG Posted August 28, 2012 Report post Posted August 28, 2012 Hello, Thank you for answering. I have left this for several days, and it is still past due. It is also applying to all pc's, not just 1 or a few ones. Thank you. Regards Paal G.
Peter van der Woude Posted August 28, 2012 Report post Posted August 28, 2012 Did you check the client logs?

Config Mangler Posted August 29, 2012 Report post Posted August 29, 2012 Probably not relevant to you but I saw this today on a laptop which was encrypting the disk. When I paused BitLocker the apps would install. It might point at system resources issue in general though.
PaG Posted August 29, 2012 Report post Posted August 29, 2012 Hello, Actually we use bitlocker on the laptops in the company so I will test this tomorrow, but I also test on virtual machines which do not have bitlocker enabled and they have the same problem... Peter van der Woude Posted August 29, 2012 Report post Posted August 29, 2012 About the logs, check AppEnforce.log for applications and execmgr.log for packages.
joengelhart Posted January 22, 2015 Report post Posted January 22, 2015 I still have this problem in my environment. My servers are just sitting on "Past due, will be installed" and then never install....Any thoughts?
Nunzi0 Posted January 22, 2015 Report post Posted January 22, 2015 Do you have several maintenance windows set up? computers that are a part of multiple collections that all have their own maintenance windows will overlap. Meaning, if computer A is in collection 1 and maintenance window is set from 4pm-8pm and computer A is also a member of collection B where the maintenance window is set from 7pm-12pm, then your window becomes 7pm-8pm.
