Need help with MDT + SCCM, define locations in MDT and use in SCCM TS

Recommended Posts

I need my Task Sequence to join computers to different domains based on their default gateway. From what i have heard this should be possible with MDT integration. I did install MDT by following Niall's guide:

http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/5131-using-sccm-2012-rc-in-a-lab-part-16-integrating-mdt-2012-rc1-with-configuration-manager-2012/

But does someone know what i should do next? I can't figure it out my self : /

This is what i have figured out:

I created

2 x Roles "DomainA" & "DomainB"

2x Locations "DomainA" & "DomainB" (with different gateways)

Now i would like to use these in my TS in SCCM, how do i ? = )

Am i doing something right? Or i am "ute och cyklar" ? (You have no idea about what you´re taking about or doing)

Actually you don't need the roles in your case, because you can define everything in the details section of your Locations rule. In you customsettings.ini you have to make sure to add the Locations Database connection settings and set the priority of Locations higher than the default.

The property you are looking for is named JoinDomain and not ServerA.
