Client not installing Updates from SCCM 2012

Not sure what is going on here but my Client workstations are not detecting any windows updates from SCCM software update point.

 

 

I installed the WSUS on the SCCM server, configured GPOs to point to the SCCM server per AnyWeb's guide on this forum.

 

 

I tried the following to resolve but failed to fix:

If I click on check Windows Online for updates it shows me there are updates that need to be installed.

I check my Software update groups and the Compliance is at 0%.

What steps did you perform to deploy the updates tp the client?

I created ADR(s) and the updates were downloaded to the WSUS folder specified and I confirmed that users have read & execute rights to the folder.

I checked the distmgr.log, here are the errors found.

 

ERROR CreateVirtualDirectory: Failed to update virtual directory SMS_DP_SMSPKG$. error = IDispatch error #3603

ERROR CheckDPforDrizzle: Could not find the desired DP ["Display=\\sccmserver.com\"]MSWNET:["SMS_SITE=CLA"]\\sccmserver.com\ in the SCF

Cannot set the current Drizzle Role status for the DP.

Error occurred. Performing error cleanup prior to returning.

 

I found out that I didnt have IIS6 WMI Compatibility enabled in the features of my server.

Installed the feature, restarted server.

 

Now its a Sit and Wait game to see if that resolves it.

You should download the updates to a Deployment Package and add the package to a Distribution Point. That's where the client will look for the updates.

Doesnt the ADRs create the Deployment Package and then downloads the updates?

Yeah it does when you work through the whole wizard, but as you where speaking about WSUS folders I thought you might have missed that part. But it probably has to do with you problems with your DP, as that's where the client should get the downloads from.

I'm having a similar issue with clients not reporting compliance data.. I have an Update list, updates are downloaded to a package which is distributed to a DP. When you look at the updates in the update list, the 'Required' column, the 'Installed' column and the 'Compliance' column all show zeroes across the board.

 

This is a new install of SCCM 2012 where there was previously just WSUS.. The old WSUS server is powered off, there is a new WSUS install on the SCCM server..

 

The clients are installed and healthy, I can even deploy packages to them. My update lists just won't display compliance data..

 

Any help would be appreciated..
