foxhound Posted August 31, 2012 Report post Posted August 31, 2012 Hi Guys, Will there be any issues if i build one more SCCM server to become 2 SCCM servers? the first SCCM server was built by the desktop team and it is used to manage the desktop computers only. We want the 2nd SCCM server to manage the servers only. we don't want to use the same SCCM server that manage the desktop to manage our servers too. hence a 2nd SCCM server. Appreciate any helpful opinions/advices Many thanks in advance!
Jorgen Nilsson Posted August 31, 2012 Report post Posted August 31, 2012 Hi, If I understand it correctly you are using SCCM 2007, then your biggest concern when using two standalone sites will be to avoid overlapping boundaries. Overlapping boundaries is the drawback of having two different sites in SCCM 2007 for managing servers/clients. So make sure that your boundaries don't overlapp each other and you will be fine.
