if you are getting abortpxe error messages then look at the all systems collection do you see any 'unknown' records there ? if so, delete them and try again

I have an "x86 Unknown Computer (x86 Unknown Computer)" listed in the "All Systems" device collection, but I am unable to delete it the right click offers no delete and the delete button is grey'd out.

Hi guys i have been following this thread and it had helped me a lot. However i am still stuck in building and capturing an image.

The task sequence fails with an error 0x800700002.

looking at the client i noticed that it has created the partition C: and created the folder where it downloads the contents for the ts. but the folder for the package 111000A (that is the instalation package id) its empty.

so it seems that it is failing in authentication or can't find the program files in the distribution point.

HEEELLLLPPPP

did you follow the guide and every step ? did you create the Network Access Account ? did you check that everything referenced in the task sequence is distributed to your dp's if you are still stuck then post your SMSTS.log file here (as an attachment)

Anyweb,

I wasnt trying to delete the collection. In the screen shot you will see what I mean. Appart from the x86 unknown you can see in the capture I have no other unknowns as seen in your screen grab.

ok I have changed the create unknown ddr registry key and restarted the service but now I have three unknown objects.

2 x x86

1 x x64.

As before these objects cannot be deleted, the delete is greyed out, hopefully it will not mind.

Thanks for your help.

Vince
