Installing SCCM 2012 CU1 Steps?

Recommended Posts

Hi All, I'm fairly new to SCCM and SCCM 2012 in general so please bare with me. We've got a setup with a Single Server Single Site of SCCM 2012. I've just installed CU1 but have no idea what to do from there with the Configuration manager updates in the packages. I've tried to find some guides advising me what to do but without success.

I presume that I only need to install the server and console updates if I had other sccm servers in our organisation?

I presume that I push out the CLient update firstly to our pilot group then to the rest of the organisation?

Please correct me if I'm wrong as I'm just learning the ropes still :).

TIA

Mmm, I had already read that. which lead me to my questions :). From http://myitforum.com/myitforumwp/2012/08/21/system-center-2012-configuration-manager-cumulative-update-1-2/

You can deploy these packages to custom collections to target your systems

Am I correct in assuming that if I only have a single instance the the only thing left to do is push out the client updates? I just want to make sure I'm not missing something.
