anyweb Posted November 2, 2012 Report post Posted November 2, 2012 well that depends on your Task Sequence Deployment settings, and they are set to ?
Rocket Man Posted November 5, 2012 Report post Posted November 5, 2012 Hi I have not tried this as of yet...but my initial thinking is that there would be no drop down list in deployment settings to access content directly from DP when choosing applications instead of packages as there is no option to distribute the application to a content share(the same as a package to get this option of accessing directly). Will definitely try this when back in office. The only downfall that I see to this is that it downloads the apps to the ccmcache folder first before installing. Is there a way to distribute the app to the content share on DP and then run from DP like the package can? Is there any way around this when using the APP Catalog, it is just that some applications do have product keys within the application package itself, and if downloaded to the local PC/ccmcache folder...there is nothing stopping users from accidentally finding all of the installation files and product key and redistribute out of work
