SCCM 2012 - chnage domain

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

We currently have a server installed in our domain with SCCM for testing. What is required, impacts or risks if I want to change it domain? Can I just remove from domain, then add it to the other domain?

I am still new at this and dont want to impact our production environment.

Thanks in advance,

Mike

If you are only testing, i Think you should create a new server domain-join it and install a new SCCM site. I think you could change the domain, but you would have to rediscover the AD/ip set up new boundaries, and extend the schema in the new domain's AD. But i think it sounds really bad and to much work to do, just start over and begin a new fresh installation, it's fun ;)
