Damien Posted November 16, 2012 Report post Posted November 16, 2012 Hi Guys Currently we have sccm 2007 in production and we are thinking of setting up SCCM 2012 from the scratch. My question is PXE. How can I point production clients to SCCM 2007 and test clients to sccm 2012 during the testing period, when the both servers are on the same domain? Thanks for your help. Oneone Posted November 17, 2012 Report post Posted November 17, 2012 Then you will need to have different VLANs , you cant use them both on the same network because then you will get a random reply on one of the PXE servers, the client will go to the PXE server that responds the fastest. So setup the CM 2012, and the clients connect to the server via a spec VLAN id.
Damien Posted November 18, 2012 Report post Posted November 18, 2012 Thanks for the advice, one more question, if I set configure the SCCM server on a Vlan and move it to another VLAN and change the IP of the server is that going to cause any problems? Peter van der Woude Posted November 18, 2012 Report post Posted November 18, 2012 Nope, as long as your DNS is functioning, you're fine!
