Pushing Packages to DPs and SMS_Exective stops unexpectedly

SCCM 2012

 

When I push Packages to DPs I get the followin error in the distmgr.log on the MP:

 

Cancelling network connection to \\Servername\ADMIN$ SMS_DISTRIBUTION_MANAGER 11/28/2012 6:20:02 PM 7312 (0x1C90)

 

The system pauses for a minute or so and the the SMS_Executive service fails unexpectedly.

 

 

Also I notice in the event viewer:

 

Faulting application smsexec.exe, version 5.0.7711.0, time stamp 0x4f4307ec, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6002.18541, time stamp 0x4ec3e855, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x0000000000048a0e, process id 0x%9, application start time 0x%10.

 

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

MP is Windows Server Enterprise SP 2 96 GB of RAM - SCCM 2012

DPs are Windows 2008 R2 SP1
