Kingen Posted December 4, 2012 Report post Posted December 4, 2012 In the Software Library > Application Management > Packages > Mark the one you would like to change then Go to the "Programs" menu rightclick and under the General Tab choose "Configmanager restarts Computer" or "Program Controls restart"
Gougy Posted December 4, 2012 Report post Posted December 4, 2012 I think I misspoke. In fact I want to shutdown every computer in my enterprise (a device collection) every day at 8:00pm and start them every day at 7:00am. Is this possible ? Kingen Posted December 4, 2012 Report post Posted December 4, 2012 So you want to schedule a reboot of several computers in a collection? You can Schedule a shutdown and reboot's with right click tools, don't know if it's the best way but it's possible: http://myitforum.com/myitforumwp/2012/05/07/config-manager-2012-right-click-tools/
Gougy Posted December 4, 2012 Report post Posted December 4, 2012 I try the right click tools but it doesn't work. Then I click on any menu, nothing happens.

GarthMJ Posted December 4, 2012 Report post Posted December 4, 2012 Why no use the CM12 power management option to do this?
tmiller_hockey Posted December 4, 2012 Report post Posted December 4, 2012 CM Power Management won't do this. Gougy posted the link to Dan Ireland's Config Manager Console Extensions which work for CM12 and will do what you want. I tested these for him while he was developing them for CM12. Great set of tools!!
GarthMJ Posted December 4, 2012 Report post Posted December 4, 2012 On a collection you can set the wake up time. Also using the power management option it will shut down a computer after a period of inactivity. So why wouldn’t you use CM12 power management option? Rocket Man Posted December 4, 2012 Report post Posted December 4, 2012 Hi Garth MJ On a collection you can set the wake up time. Also using the power management option it will shut down a computer after a period of inactivity. So why wouldn’t you use CM12 power management option? Can you elaborate a bit more on this shutdown after inactivity, thanks. also the wake up timers(built in to windows OS) are only for if the machine is asleep/hibernating.(I think)....this will not cold start a machine like a WOL magic packet..
