HaikoH Posted January 12, 2013 Report post Posted January 12, 2013 So I can not use PXE while connection to Management Point is down, right? But why does the same problem occur, when using Primary Site and Secondary Site? (Client is assigned to Secondary Site which is online and reachable, but connection to Primary Site is down (even for SecSite))? HaikoH Posted January 31, 2013 Report post Posted January 31, 2013 SCCM2007 had the Proxy Management Point, which did the processing of policies for clients assigned to the secondary site. In SCCM2012 there is no Proxy MP anymore (should not be any need either). But whgy is it not working in my lab? What do I have to do? I want to be able to deploy OS in secondary site's range (branch office) with no need to have the client or the secondary site server communuicate with primary site over WAN (slow link and we want to have a usable system even in case of broken WAN-links). So what is wrong? What do I have to do? THANKS!
anyweb Posted February 2, 2013 Report post Posted February 2, 2013 the one thing you havent listed above is usb media, if PXE is failing for whatever reason you can always use standalone media
HaikoH Posted February 18, 2013 Report post Posted February 18, 2013 Hello Niall! Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately, USB-Media is not really an option. So how about my observations? Is it normal, that PXE won't work, if Sec. Site looses its connection to Pri. Site?? Thanks!
