Devnull Posted December 11, 2012 Report post Posted December 11, 2012 Hello, We have an issue that i can't figure out what is causeing it. We have stated to try out client status reporting for the reason that license team want data only from active clients (flag as inactive after 30 days) and other in IT want to keep computers in SCCM for 90 days so that we can have users being away for various rasons for more then the 30days license team is asking for. So in SCCM we setup the maintance tasks so that they will only delete computers older then 90 days and client status reporting will flag as inactive after 30day. After 30days the client will be propperly flagged as inactive. But 1-2 days after that they will be removed from SCCM.... As a test i stopped the CSR (Client Status Reporting) service but the clients will be deleted anyway. So looking at maintance tasks: Delete Inactive Client Discovery Data: Disabled All other delete tasks is set to 90 days+ except for Delete Obsolete that is set to 2 days. But clients are not flagged as obsolete they are Active: No Obsolete: No I found that in System Status -> Site Status -> "Primary Server" -> SMS Discovery Data Manager Will get a DDR to delete the client. This is happening at 7 AM everyday. For the other primary server we have (another timezone also) they get this at 3 PM everyday. Logtext: SMS Discovery Data Manager has interpreted discovery data record (DDR) "d:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Configuration Manager\inboxes\auth\ddm.box\rjeo721g.PDR" as a delete request. Therefore, SMS Discovery Data Manager is deleting item "4714" of architecture "System". DDR "d:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Configuration Manager\inboxes\auth\ddm.box\rjeo721g.PDR" contains an old item, but not a new item. Anyone have a clue why this is happening?
