SCCM 2012 Restore Woes

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

Recently I did a full site backup of our sccm 2012 box as we were moving it to a different box.

Once the box was built I restored the backup and it has not operated properly ever since.

Not only did it not backup the sources folder (yipeeeee), it just hasn't been the same.

At the moment I am trying to deploy a new image to some test machines and it is driving me insane as it is not working. I initially tried deploying to the whole room but after it wasn't working, I decided to do it to a single client and try and get to the bottom of the issue.

I have remade the packages, updated the distibution point, checked firewall and network settings and I can't for the life of me figure out why it is failing. So I have turned to you guys!

I have attached logs from the client in question. Let me know if you need anything else.

Cheers,

Kyle.

The builtin SCCM backup, does only backup the database and some registry keys, but usually that's no problem since best practice is to have source files on a separate disk?

Sorry this took me so long to reply.

Christmas break and a forgetful mind :D.

I ended up just reinstalling from scratch as there was a lot of missing content that I couldn't really recreate.

But reinstall was not a hassle as now that I know what i'm doing, I wa sable to get it back to where it was in roughly a day and a bit.

Now i'm just having some issues pushing an image out but I suspect its the clients.

Thanks for your replies.
