afilla Posted December 21, 2012 Report post Posted December 21, 2012 Hello, I have been working for a few months trying to setup an SCCM 2012 Secondary Site in another domain and I have been running into the same issue over and over again. Here is the situation: I have two domains: Domain1 and Domain2. There is a trust setup between Domain1 and Domain2. Domain1 Domain Controller: labdc SCCM Server: labsccm (PRI) Domain2 Domain Controller: clouddc SCCM Server: cloudsccm (I want this to be a secondary site). I have setup my SCCM PRI site on labsccm, and it is functioning properly. I have also setup all of the prereqs for the cloudsccm server (schema, server roles, etc). When I open up the Admin Console on sccm1 and walk through the installation steps to deploy a secondary site, it always hangs up: When I look through the logs, the only real things that I can find are: SMS_BOOTSRAP.LOG: Running SMS Setup... afilla Posted January 3, 2013 Report post Posted January 3, 2013 I still haven't been able to figure this issue out. Initially I zeroed in on trying to ensure that all my SCCM servers (on both Domains) have Full Control (on this object and all descendant objects) on the System Management container in AD. <12-21-2012 15:30:03> ERROR: ADsOpenObject <LDAP://CN=System Management,CN=System,DC=InsCloud,DC=com> return 0. That doesn't really seem to be doing the trick. When I look at the System Management container in AD there are no objects within. Perhaps that is a clue that something is wrong here? afilla Posted January 7, 2013 Report post Posted January 7, 2013 Okay, so I have confirmed that all of the prerequisites are installed by running the prereq checker. I have also ensure that all of the appropriate accounts have access to the Systems Management container as well as local admin on the PRI and SEC site servers. I was really at a loss so I ensured that I am running the full release version of SCCM 2012 (no SP1 yet). So what I am seeing is that the PreReq check passes, then PRI successfully copies the files to the SEC server. Then the bootsrap attempts to kickoff and this is where I am seeing a failure. afilla Posted January 8, 2013 Report post Posted January 8, 2013 After checking what seems like EVERYTHING else, it appears that I needed to pre-stage the SCCM Install Content (and the prereqs in a redist folder) and then the installation proceeded correctly.
