stevenjwilliams83 Posted December 22, 2012 Report post Posted December 22, 2012 I can deploy a standard image to a VM no problem, but build capture fails all the time. smsts.log file attached can someone tell me what I am looking for? smsts.log
anyweb Posted December 22, 2012 Report post Posted December 22, 2012 Failed to save execution state and environment to local hard disk diskpart your disk and create a partition on it, then try the task sequence again
stevenjwilliams83 Posted December 24, 2012 Report post Posted December 24, 2012 Can I do this somehow without touching the PC? My deployment has disk 0 configured for 2 partitions, one is 100mb hidden, the other is 100 percent of what is left and for the system. anyweb Posted December 24, 2012 Report post Posted December 24, 2012 why has it two partitions ? if it's a VM then it doesn't need a bitlocker partition, alternatively if you insist on doing two partitions in this build and capture, and i can't see why...then make sure that the OS partition is formatted, can you show the task sequence you are using (screenshot..) for the partition disk 0 step...it should look like this have you tried following my build and capture post here ? stevenjwilliams83 Posted December 27, 2012 Report post Posted December 27, 2012 I have followed your instructions to the "T", with no luck. I do want my build and capture to include bitlocker as this is a requirement for all new deployments. So that is why I created two partitions. Do I need any type of drivers for storage? Peter van der Woude Posted December 27, 2012 Report post Posted December 27, 2012 Two things, one you can NOT use Bitlocker on a VM (well, eventualy it is possible with some tricks) and two you can NOT include Bitlocker with a Build and Capture (also, I can't think of a reason why you would even want that). stevenjwilliams83 Posted December 27, 2012 Report post Posted December 27, 2012 Ok. But I will want to automate the process of bitlocker when I deploy....Otherwise I have to go to every PC and start the process.
Peter van der Woude Posted December 27, 2012 Report post Posted December 27, 2012 Then just capture a "normal" image and create the two partitions during the deployment task sequence of the image.
stevenjwilliams83 Posted December 27, 2012 Report post Posted December 27, 2012 This is what I did. And the capture still fails.
