send pop-up messages without Netsend Command line?!

Hello every-body,

 

I've recently migrate to win7 and netSend doesn't exist on that os.

Any-one knows a solution to send messages (like pop-ups) to my users that works on win7?

you can use WMI

The msg command replaces netsend in Vista and above, usage can be found in the link below or by running msg /? from the command line.

If you are nostalgic as all hell then you can use third party apps to utilise net send, however this normally requires a scripted delivery of a client to each workstation.

I've tried msg command but it doesn't fit to my AD. I would like to send the message to a group and even an OU.Do you know any of this third party apps?Thx anyway for the answer

Hello I've tried LANegram, it is an interesting product. But it doesn't suit to my needs.

My users are going to use this software and they will freakout if they have to use the cmd DOS.

So far, I've tried this one : dMessage et e-pigeon.

You could try a program called Screen Popup 3.00. We use it on our Windows 7 PCs, and it also works on Windows XP.

 

It looks nicer than net send - can be a little fiddly to setup, but once it's working it's a dream.
