Problem with sending an Image.

Hello,

I have troubles sending an image to a clients. I have captured an image without any problems, created and deployed a task sequence. Inserted the correct LAN driver in the boot image and updated the DP.

Now I have 2 systems. A Dell Optiplex 360 and a Dell Optiplex 380. The image is being send correctly to the 360’s. But with the 380’s the pc reboots after preparing network connections in winpe.

I don’t understand why this is happening. I tried to find the log files on the 380 but I can’t find them.

Same problem I have ... LAN driver is wrong / not added to boot image.

You could add the WinPE3.0 to your boot images...this guarantees successful boots of an extensive range of Dell models!

Is there a guide for creating a new boot image with winpe 3.0? Or can I just uninstall the current waik and install 3.0 and create new boot image?

Could anyone point me in the right direction on this?

WinPE is a bundled driver pack supplied from DELL(maybe other vendors) so that your boot images will boot any DELL machine whilst in winPE. (apparently)

 

Just inject the package into your boot.wims...
