Tloc Posted January 10, 2013 Report post Posted January 10, 2013 Hi, We want to install and configure Configuration Manager 2012 in our network. We have approximatively 2500 computers to manage. These computers are distributed in 20 buildings and we have 100 Mbit/s links between them. However, our head office have a 1 Gbit/s link (where the servers are located). If I need distribution points in the bigger buildings, I will install them later. I want to install SCCM 2012 SP1 on Windows 2012 Standard with SQL 2012. As our network is small, I think I will only install a standalone primary site server in an Hyper-V virtual machine. I am not sure if it's better for us to install SQL server on the site server or on a different virtual machine. Even if they are on the same server, I plan to install the OS, SCCM data and the SQL Server on differents volumes of our Dell Equallogic. What kind of configuration do you suggest ? The physical server have 2 Intel Quad-core X5570 with 64 GB of RAM. How much RAM do you think I need to assign to the virtual machine ? Sorry for my english, I speak french and I do my best so you can understand me. Thanks for your help!
