gvlaarho Posted January 30, 2013 Report post Posted January 30, 2013 Hello All, I need to upgrade some application deployed via software center and administrative approval? The scenario is as follow: I have created one application in the past named Skype 5.10.116. During last month, many users have installed this application after administrative approval. Now, the version 6.1 is available. I must replace the old one in the software center for new request. BUT, i must keep the history of the old version (user already accepted) and this new version should be installed automatically to the already installed old version, and this only on user with approval request and not to "pirate" What is the best way ? Replace source files of the old application or create a new application with superseedence. If new application with superseedence, is the approval history always available ? how to update users that have received the approval for the old version. (i don't want to create a condition with a file because some users have installed the application without approval of approval refused (local admin users ...)) Thanks in advance
