software deployment with conditions

Hi i am trying to deploy an application via SCCM2012 but it fails on the client side i believe i know why after some investigation, it only gives a generic error so i decided to do a manual install on the same machine and discovered the app needs IE, outlook and LYNC to be closed down before hand is there any way to set this up through SCCM as i cannot see how it can be done

You need to cript this.

This would one of my most wanted features for the app model though, to define processes which block the execution of the installation until the next evaluation cycle.

In my environment I simply deploy every app with batch scripts and if I need to close an app for an installation to work I preempt the install command with a series of taskkill commands, java and flash are really bad for this

Or you can configure the deployment to only run when a user is logged off...

Can you give details to only run when user is logged off as i can t see that option

Also scripts are not my strong point can you give me a pointer to a web site or something?

Of course, here is an example how to skip the installation if a blocking condition process is running.
