Search for a query already created

Question

Hi all,

Ive run into a potential problem in the organisation. Despite my best efforts to find a solution I cant.

I am trying to create a query within a folder - when I try I get the error "A query with this name already exists". We have hundreds of queries within about 50 folders - is there a way to search for the query and for SCCM 2012 to tell me which folder it is located in?

PS Im rather new to this SCCM 2012 stuff.

Cheers

Padhend

If it is a query then all you have to do is type the name of the query that is giving you the error "A query with this name already exists" into the search bar on the main query node(the root) and press search!

Is this what you are looking to achieve?

EDIT: Just seen the folder structure, the above will not be able to search into sub folders directly from the root.

What you are asking for is not a simple request.

However you can quickly determine if a query name exists by creating a query with the following:

select * from sms_query where query.name = '<your query name>'

BTW watch out for typos and I free hand wrote this query.. but it should work.
