Failed to Run Task Sequence

Recommended Posts

Get Failed to Run Task Seqeunce when using boot media for OS Deployment in Configuration Manager 2012. Verified that the task is assigned to the system that was imported using the import computer information process. So far have recreated the task sequence and deployed again but still get error. Tried on several different laptops, including a brand new out of the box laptop and still get the same message. I have already looked into the possibility of duplicate SMSGUID and have not been able to find any duplicates. Any help would be appreciated. I have attached the smsts.log file.smsts.log

Found your problem. Are you sure u have advertised your TS to the collection where the computer is a member?

"No assigned task sequence. TSMBootstrap 13/02/2013 12:28:51 1268 (0x04F4)"

Also check the deployment on that computer, rightclick and go to properties, then deplyoments.

I verified that the task sequece is advertised to the collection and also the target computer in the collection has the deployment assigned to it. Even when i created a new task sequence it was advertised to the collection and appears in the deployment for the computer. Could it be a timing issue? If so, then not sure how to check for that.
