We have migrated one file server to another using: robocopy /b /copyall \\oldserver \\ newserver etc... for all user folders and public folders (each with security based on groups). Everything copied OK and all the permissions went across. The strange thing is, some of the folders are empty when looking on the users screen, even though they are there on the server. The users can see the folders but not the files. Only when I access the folder on the server, and grant permission (This is the prompt when accessing the folder - "You do not have permission - click continue to permanently get access to this folder") Only once I have done this do the files appear on the users screen?? Can anybody help with this issue, this has affected users personal drives and public security folders. It doesn't appear to be affecting all folders.
