pnyce24 Posted February 26, 2013 Report post Posted February 26, 2013 I currently have SCCM 2007 and SCCM 2012 SP1 in my testing environment. When discovering Active Directory sites, subnets, users, and computers in SCCM 2012 SP1, can that affect your anything in my SCCM 2007 hierarchcy? Thanks, P
Peter van der Woude Posted February 26, 2013 Report post Posted February 26, 2013 Discovering objects is no problem, as long as you're not auto configuring boundaries for the discovered Sites and/ or subnets.
AmrelMahdy Posted February 27, 2013 Report post Posted February 27, 2013 This has nothing to do with SCCM 2007 ,, but check that the check box for auto assignment is not checked in the Boundary group properties , because of it is checked all discovered clients will be assigned to 2 sites at the same time causing overlapping issue

Peter, You are referring to the Active Directory Forest Discovery properties? "Automatically create AD site boundaries when they are discovered" "Automatically create IP addressess range boundaries for IP subnets when they are discovered" Thanks, P
Peter van der Woude Posted March 4, 2013 Report post Posted March 4, 2013 Correct. Just don't configure that, don't configure auto assignment and don't write to the AD and your completely fine in your test environment.
