Jorgen Nilsson Posted March 14, 2013 Report post Posted March 14, 2013 HI, What more site system roles do you have at site B? You should use a Secondary site with a SUP to get this working. When you configure the WSUS Server in Site B to be a SUP it will automatically synchronize with the primary site SUP. The client within the Secondary site servers boundary will automatically use the SUP at the Secondary site. However I would not use a SUP at the Site B because in SCCM 2007 the client doesn't download the updates from the SUP/WSUS they download them from the closest DP instead. The SUP/WSUS is only used by the clients to download the information about which updates are available for the WSUS client agent to scan for, the result is returned to the MP and then updates are deployed using SCCM. If you want the WSUS server in Site B to be a standalone WSUS server then it cannot synchronize with the SCCM 2007 site server SUP as it doesn't contain any updates. Regards, Jörgen Currently Site B has "Component server", "distribution point", "site system" and "software update point" roles. I did configure boundaries for Site A and B. For eg. Site A boundary is 10.65.8.0/24. Site B boundary is 10.65.10.0/24 and protected system is configured to Site B WSUS Server. So what i need to do now is when i create a new deployment package for window update, i need to add two distribution points which are Site A and Site B. When the client at Site B do a sync and detected there are updates from SCCM, it will find Site B distribution point to download the update. If this is correct, what will be the "Intranet Microsoft update service location" value? http://siteA:8530? One more question....If i only added Site A distribution point to this new package, will my client at site B still get updated from Site A distribution point or will not? Please correct me if i am wrong
