Workstation VS User Objects Advertisements

Question

Currently we are able to advertise packages to workstations that are a part of a collection, and users are able to install them via: Run Advertised Programs. Though, the limitation is if a user changes workstations, none of these advertised programs appear in their Run Advertised Programs list.

I decided to create a test Collection and add my user name using direct membership. I advertised only 1 program to this collection, and I am unable to see the advertised program in the list (nothing appears in the list).

Any tips to get the advertisement to show in Run Advertised Programs?

I "think" i have checked all the relevant locations within SCCM to verify that clients can receive advertisements, but I am not 100% sure...

Any help would be great!! Thanks

hi anyweb, i am looking to deploy to user objects, not workstation objects.

when advertising packages to workstation objects, the advertisements DO appear in the RUN advertised programs

when advertising packages to user objects, the advertisements DO NOT appear in the RUN advertised programs.

hi, sorry i missed that,

can you try to right click on a user listed in All Users and choose Distribute Software, and go through the wizard, after selecting the Program you'll get the chance to target the advertisement at the collection the user is in or create a new collection with that user in it... try creating a collection with the user in it via this wizard...

does this help in any way ? ie: does anything get targetted to that user ?
