SCCM 2012 Getting Message ID 2302 when I try to Distribute Content

Getting error when trying to distribute content. Below are the errors I am getting: I looked at all the permissions and everything seems ok to me. Anyone have any ideas?

Solution: Verify that distribution manager can access the package source directory/distribution point. Possible cause: The package source directory contains files with long file names and the total length of the path exceeds the maximum length supported by the operating system. Solution: Reduce the number of folders defined for the package, shorten the filename, or consider bundling the files using a compression utility. Possible cause: There is not enough disk space available on the site server computer or the distribution point. Solution: Verify that there is enough free disk space available on the site server computer and on the distribution point. Possible cause: The package source directory contains files that might be in use by an active process. Solution: Close any processes that maybe using files in the source directory. If this failure persists, create an alternate copy of the source directory and update the package source to point to it.

Solution: Verify that there is at least one NTFS drive with enough free disk space to store the package. Then, verify that the distribution point directory exists, has the proper permissions, and is accessible.

I found the solution to fix this below

 

 

I finally found the issue after much research.

I had my Site System Installation Account set to my service account (DA) which I use for most everything. We changed that back to "Use the site server's computer account to install the site system."

After doing that, I restarted the SMS_Executive services, updated my packages, and they worked!

Microsoft has now marked it as a "Known Bug"

Hi, i have the same issue but i have the right configuration , See Attached Image Site System.png

 

and the log, only throws errors about access denied but all accounts have full permissions.

Have you Added the CM site server to the local admin group on the server?

Are you trying to use a Windows Server or something like a QNAP and Netapp for your DP?

Google sccm smsdprov.mof... youll see some users have had issues with the WMI and had to run mofcomp.exe smsdprov.mof to correct ths WMI. worth a try.
